Although the crypto market entered the new year on a down note, the improvement in the price of Bitcoin (BTC) on the first business day of the year triggered the rise of some altcoins. Here are five altcoins that entered the new year with an upward trend:
FARTCOIN (FARTCOIN)
FARTCOIN, which grew in popularity in the last months of 2024 and reached a market valuation of $1 billion in a short period of time, became the altcoin that gained the most value in the first days of the new year. FARTCOIN, which has recorded a whopping 46 percent gain in the last 24 hours, is trading at $1.40 as of my writing.
DeXE (DEXE)
DEXE, which serves as a governance token for decentralized autonomous organizations, surged 35.59 percent in the past 24 hours to hit a high of $20.90. DEXE’s market value, which hit a high of $33.54 in the blink of an eye, reached $1.2 billion.
Virtual Protocol (VIRTUAL)
Virtuals, the local token for the artificial intelligence assistant virtual protocol, looks to have surpassed its 14,000 percent performance recorded last year. It has taken until the new year. Virtuals, which has gained 21.92% in the last 24 hours, is trading at $4.73 as of my writing. The market value of virtuals exceeded 4 billion dollars.
Btnser (TAO)
Bittensor, one of the leading projects in the recent artificial intelligence trend, is one of the altcoins in the bullish pot. TAO, which gained 22.3% in value in the last 24 hours, is traded at $521. TAO’s market value exceeded $3.8 billion.
