Today is Bitcoin’s birthday… Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, officially launched the system on January 3, 2009, and created the first block, after publishing a white paper on October 31, 2008. This block, called the “Genesis”, or initial block, gave its first reward of 50 BTC.
Historical message in the first block…
Satoshi, whose identity (or persons) remains unknown to this day and whether or not he is still alive is a matter of debate, wrote his historic message on the starting block. “Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks” was the headline in the British newspaper of the day, The Times, on the first block officially issued.
“Finance minister prepares second rescue package for banks,” read the Times headline. This meant that the state bailed out the banks (for the second time) to overcome the economic crisis.
By putting this title in the first blog, Satoshi was actually sending a message to the world that the real way out of this system is Bitcoin.
This has been debated for years and is now accepted.
Bitcoin, which has been debated for years as a Ponzi scheme, wanted to be banned but couldn’t, and was eventually accepted by large companies, heads of state and countries, at this point. has reached where it has a market value of $2 trillion today.
Bitcoin is growing day by day with its limited supply of 21 million units, decentralization, open source code, mining system and many more features.
