Transatlantic manufacturer of electric motorcycles, LiveWire will start the year 2025 with the official presentation of the S2 Alpinista. The launch, scheduled for January 15, confirms the arrival of the fourth model based on the S2 platform.
Origin of LiveWire
The LiveWire brand originated at the Harley-Davidson Company, where it first saw the light of day as an internal project. The name LiveWire first appeared in 2014, when the well-known firm presented a prototype of an electric motorcycle, thus taking its first step into the field of “electron” mobility.
The project came to fruition in 2019 with the launch of the production model of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire. Later, in May 2021, the company announced the creation of a dedicated and independent brand called LiveWire. The company is exclusively dedicated to the development and marketing of electric motorcycles, positioning Harley-Davidson perfectly in the energy transition of the motorcycle sector.
New, more rational horizons for LiveWire
Rumors abound, but it’s a safe bet that LiveWire will offer an electric trail, or a trail of some sort. In fact, this type of model is very popular. In a complex market (the electric motorcycle isn’t breaking even), it’s not a bad idea to play it safe with a popular product (like automakers with SUVs).
From our colleagues Caradisiac were able to gather some information through Motorcycle. The S2 will produce 40 hp and 263 Nm of torque, have a top speed of 160 kmph and weigh 195 kg.
See you on January 15 to confirm all this.
