This is the problem when you delay making your new console official: information always gets leaked. And if it’s impossible to separate fact from fiction while waiting for the proper formality from Nintendo, the leaks are becoming more and more numerous nonetheless. Recently, we were able to come back to a possible announcement date for the console, along with a whole bunch of information about its dock or console. Today, it’s the new joys that are in the spotlight.
A more mature design?
On Reddit, a user shared images that show what appears to be a new design for the Nintendo Switch 2’s next joy-cons. These images let you see the connectivity of the controllers on the edge as well as explore the back of the device. . While these leaks are impossible to verify, they appear to be consistent with other leaks and rumors previously shared late last year. Thus we see larger SL and SR buttons, as well as an overall softer design, especially through darker colors, between sky blue and black.
A discerning eye would also have noticed that it is possible to see a serial number on these delights, which could ultimately lead to a lot of problems for the person who leaked the images: we know this trend from Nintendo. It will never be allowed. A leak like this… but it’s also a way of legitimizing the leak at the same time, even if we have to confirm that it’s really ‘real information’, the official announcement. Will have to wait. As a reminder, Nintendo must announce its new console before March 31st.
