TP-Link sprung a surprise at CES with its Tapo RV70 Pro Ultra robot capable of recycling water for washing floors without the user having to fill or empty the tank, but the firm has some interesting new features on the camera side. Features are also presented. Two models in particular caught our attention: the Tapo C6165D and the Tapo C675D kit. The first must be plugged in while the second works with a battery and solar panel, but both are based on the same concept: they integrate two lenses, one of which is motorized.
A second camera that magnifies the monitored area and zooms in on intruders.
Thus it is possible to monitor two areas at the same time by orienting them in different directions, but a motorized camera can follow movements over 360° even if it is a fixed camera that initially But they have been detected. It’s all the more interesting because it offers a longer focal length, and therefore you’ll get a closer look at intruders. To make matters worse, TP-Link’s new cameras promise 4K photos. Of course there’s also the usual dose of AI to filter out alerts for people, vehicles and animals.
We’ve already seen similar cameras, notably with the H9c from Ezviz, but TP-Link has the merit of allowing a choice of power supply for wired or wireless installation. However, neither the price nor the release date has been announced yet.
