To do this, five smartphones are being released: first the Redmi Note 14, in 4G and 5G versions, the Redmi Note 14 Pro, which is also available in 4G and 5G versions, and finally the Redmi Note 14 Pro+5G, A more advanced level of terminal. his family. Entry-level smartphones are often the poor cousin when it comes to durability, especially software. Xiaomi has put considerable effort into its five Redmi Note 14s, as the entire range will benefit from four OS updates (Android, therefore) and six years of security patches. The manufacturer also promises that the batteries of its devices will withstand four years of use, meaning that they will retain 80 percent of their capacity after 1,600 cycles. Finally, we note that the Pro 5G and Pro+ models benefit from protection against water and dust (IP68), in addition to Gorilla Glass Victus 2 screen protection; The Redmi Note 14 Pro and 14 5G are still entitled to IP54, which protects them from splashes, and IP54 to the 14 4G.

Like every year, it is the Pro+5G model that Xiaomi has taken care of the most. The smartphone flaunts a curved design, with a faux leather or glass finish depending on the color, and a massive photo block on the back. It has a 200-megapixel main sensor with wide angle, an 8-megapixel sensor with ultra-wide angle and a final 2-megapixel module dedicated to macro. Since artificial intelligence is now essential, the smartphone puts it at the center of its photo experience: it is possible to erase elements of photos or enlarge scenes using it after taking a photo. Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro 5G are more or less identical, as they have the same screen and the same rear photo block. The Pro 5G model is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300-Ultra chip (so with a 5G modem), and retains the Pro+ model’s battery, albeit with charging limited to 45W. This is also the strength maintained by the Redmi Note 14. The Pro has the same Helio G100 Ultra chip as the Pro 5G and its battery capacity has increased to 5,500. Both the Pro models come with some AI functions (photo enhancement, magic eraser), but leave most of the intelligent options to the Redmi Note 14 Pro+.

The end of 4G is not yet here. The Redmi Note 14s is therefore offered in two versions, both equipped with MediaTek chips.
