The Ultratank U16 Flex reminds us that it’s never smart to judge a book by its cover. While we expected a small, even uncompromised product, this model now approaches the pantheon of our comparison’s best-in-class performance perks with little deception about its actual features. And what’s more, brilliantly! Capturing the indicators of exploitative autonomy, almost perfect filtration, high flying suction efficiency, easy to maintain, it is very convenient, it has everything. Admittedly, we’d probably have liked the build quality to be a bit better, but Altec has a big hit here that it’ll be hard to top.

An alternative
Polti’s first stick vacuum cleaner in a stick format satisfies what we ask of it and it does it well. Very pleasant to hold, it offers comfortable autonomy and manages to effectively vacuum hard floors and fine carpets. Even so, the SR100 suffers from some minor faults, such as a slightly funky HEPA filter or a battery that takes too long to recharge. This polity is likely to face serious competition. In contrast, the Hover H Free, which was offered at the same price, turned out to be more convincing.
