(Teleborsa) – In July it is French industrial production increased at a slower pace. The overall output of the second largest European economy showed a 0.3% increase on a monthly basis after + 0.6% the previous month (revised from + 0.5%). The figure, communicated by the National Statistics Office (INSEE), is less than analysts’ expectations who had estimated a 0.4% increase.
It grows faster manufacturing production, with the index reporting on a monthly basis a 0.6% increase in any case below the previous + 1%.
Over the year, the production of the whole industry registered a growth of 10.1% and manufacturing of 10.7%.
Compared to February 2020 (the month before the start of the pandemic), industrial production is still down: -5.5% manufacturing, -4.8% for the whole industry.
