(Teleborsa) – A July 2021 according to Istat estimates, the seasonally adjusted index of industrial production it increased by 0.8% compared to June. On the average of the May-July period, the level of production increased by 0.6% compared to the previous three months. The monthly seasonally adjusted index shows, in particular, a marked cyclical increase for i me instrumental (+ 1.9%) and for i me intermediate (+ 1.4%), slightly lower for i consumer goods (+ 0.9%); on the other hand, it decreases in theenergy (-1,5%).
Corrected for calendar effects, in July 2021 the overall index increased in trend terms by 7% (there were 22 calendar working days against 23 in July 2020). Intermediate goods (+ 11.9%) grew particularly markedly, while capital goods (+ 7.0%) and consumer goods (+ 5.1%) to a lesser extent. Energy records a slight decline (-0.6%). All the main sectors of economic activity showed increases on a trend basis, with the exception of activities extractive. The largest increases relate to the manufacture of electrical equipment (+ 12.5%), the metallurgy and the manufacture of metal products (+ 11.9%) and the manufacture of articles in eraser e plastics (+9,8%).
