(Teleborsa) – United Airlines announced that, i employees which was granted exemption from vaccination for religious reasons, they will be placed in temporary and unpaid leave starting in October.
This was announced by the company, which it announced last month the obligation of the vaccination pass for all 67 thousand employees present all over the world, leaving a window for those who wish to refuse vaccination for religious, personal or medical reasons.
However, the vaccination exemption is not due. In fact, with an internal communication to employees, United also clarified that, in case the company denies the exemption, the employee will be obliged to carry out the vaccination within five weeks, i.e. by 27 September, under penalty of dismissal.
United’s decision is one of the most rigid in the US aviation sector. For example, rival Delta has opted for a simple increase in employee health insurance.
